Meet the experts behind True Colors Customs, Inc.

Meet the team that makes it all happen. We see big potential in every moment, and care deeply about what we do every day. Our unique shop ensures that we have the very best staff at every level of operation. With Steve Sheats Sr. at the helm, his leadership and depth of experience reflects the outstanding products he and the team put on the road.

Steve Sheats Sr. has been instrumental from the beginning of True Colors Customs, Inc. In 1989, Steve Sr., began the company from his garage in Henderson Colorado.


The business became more than the garage could support and Steve made the decision to move the company to Brighton Colorado. The move in early 2017 and Grand Opening in June 2017 allowed Steve to build a bigger shop which includes a new paint booth, and plenty of space to work on numerous vehicles at one time.


Steve is an award winning builder and painter. He has won best paint, interior, and body at several National shows with many different cars and motorcycles.


In addition to helping customers with their own builds, Steve has built several personal cars for his own enjoyment. His 1967 Two-door is a unique vehicle because in the 1950's and 1960's, Chevrolet did not build two-door wagons. This car was featured in print in the June/July 2002 Chevy Rumble magazine. 


Steve has big plans for the shop and one day is planning to turn the keys over to his son, Steven Sheats Jr.

Steven is busy on so many projects that we have yet to pin him down and get an updated bio from him. Don't worry, we'll wear him down and get you the update soon.
